MOSCOW: Yulia, 29, was walking toward the metro with a friend, dressed in all black, including her hat and computer bag.
The sociology graduate said she works as a freelance IT manager from her home in Smolensk, 400 kilometers west of Moscow.
She travels to Moscow about once a month for work, sometimes using blahblahcar.ru. I asked how she a sociology student became an IT manger.
Yulia said she had been worked full-time as a sociologist, but took a break, taking a job selling soap at a shop.
When the soap shop owners realized her skills, they asked her to join their IT business. ‘’Now I like what I am doing,’’ said Yulia, who has been acting in theatre in her free time for the past 18 years.
‘’Maybe tomorrow, it will want to do something different,’’ she said with a laugh.
Yulia was dressed in black as she headed toward the metro.
