Anna: Moscow Fire Twirler

Moscow: Anna was on her way to work, listrning to her headphones, when I passed her. She said she likes to practice twirling chains with fire with friends in a park across the river from the Kremlin. She is wearing black socks up to her calf. 
 

Anya: Quit Job, Enjoying Summer

Moscow: Anya is drinking her Coke and watching Muscovites dance in Gorky Park as the sun goes down behind her and tourist boats cuise by below her. Anya said she recently quit her job and wants to enjoy the rest of the summer before seeking work. 

Zhenya: Hairstylist with Greek Roots

Moscow Street Portrait: Zhenya, a hairstylist with Russian and Greek roots, knocks back a Coke while taking in the Moscow sunset. She has an interesting combo of black leather jacket, aviator sunglasses with what looks like soccer shorts and Black converse. The sports shirt reads 'Tokyo.' Black is clearly her color.
 

Tanya: ‘Good Morning Moscow!’

Moscow: Russians have a reputation for being gloomy and unfriendly, so I could not help notice Tanya greeting pedestrians exiting the metro with a big smile and a loud 'good morning!' as she handed out flyers to earn some money during the summer. Tanya says she would like to become an actress or a policewoman....perhaps she can kill two birds with one stone and land a job as a policewoman in a Moscow TV series some day. 
 

Menfor: Sporting St. Petersburg’s Coolest Outfit

ST. PETERSBURG: I saw this guy standing along the canal in St. Petersburg during a beautiful summer sunset.
Hands down, he had the most original outfit I came across during my three days in Russia's imperial capital. Menfor - as he calls himself - is a former biker and factory machinist who now makes various 'trinkets' such as necklaces, including ones that 'protect you' from harm.
The accessories he was wearing on his outfit were incredibly varied - from a US-styled sheriff's hat and Harley Davidson belt, to Russian icons, hard-rock memorabilia and communist buttons.
To top it off, he has a flower pinned to his leather coat.
