Moscow Street Portrait: Zhenya, a hairstylist with Russian and Greek roots, knocks back a Coke while taking in the Moscow sunset. She has an interesting combo of black leather jacket, aviator sunglasses with what looks like soccer shorts and Black converse. The sports shirt reads 'Tokyo.' Black is clearly her color.
St Petersburg: Slava was walking around St Petersburg, two friends at his side, carrying a large Russian flag on 'Russia Day' in June. Slava said he bought the flag in April, that the Crimean events made him more politically conscious and that he is now pondering a military career.
ST. PETERSBURG: I saw this guy standing along the canal in St. Petersburg during a beautiful summer sunset.
Hands down, he had the most original outfit I came across during my three days in Russia's imperial capital. Menfor - as he calls himself - is a former biker and factory machinist who now makes various 'trinkets' such as necklaces, including ones that 'protect you' from harm.
The accessories he was wearing on his outfit were incredibly varied - from a US-styled sheriff's hat and Harley Davidson belt, to Russian icons, hard-rock memorabilia and communist buttons.
To top it off, he has a flower pinned to his leather coat.
